BREAKING NEWS: DSS arrests Senator Abaribe over Nnamdi Kanu

Lawmaker representing Abia South in the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, has been arrested by men of the Department of State Service (DSS).

News Express learnt from a source close to the lawmaker that he was picked up this afternoon in Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja over in connection with the bail bond he signed for the missing leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The Senator, a vocal critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, had late last year asked the Federal High Court sitting Abuja to revoke the undertaking he took on behalf Kanu.

He later appealed to the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to discharge him as Kanu’s surety as he has not seen or heard from Kanu since September 11, 2017 when federal troops invaded the separatist leader’s country home in Umuahia, Abia State.

Nigerian songstress and Opera ambassador, Simi has expressed her dissatisfaction with Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo and threatened to beat the Changchun Yatai player whenever she sees him.
